Welcome to Ellsworth Elementary. Our school which is part of the Ellsworth Community School district, houses students in grades PK-5. Recognized by the Center for Michigan as the 5th out of over 600 elementary buildings in Michigan, we pride ourselves on academic achievement, small class sizes, and individual attention for every student.
In addition to traditional curriculum offerings, all students receive instruction in art, music, physical education, and computers. After-care is available to all students as part of our Club Lancer Program.

Snack time as part of the second grade nutrition series. Cracker sandwich with the 5 main food groups! Thanks to MSU Extension for providing the lesson to the students.
The elementary students were treated to a NED Show assembly this afternoon. NED stands for “never give up,” “encourage others,” and “do your best.” Thanks to the PTO for arranging the event.
Fifth graders are taking a break from testing to dissect owl pellets. They are also identifying bones they find inside. They started saying “Ewww!” and are now saying “Cool! Look at this! This is fun!”
It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that Ellsworth Elementary will be participating in Lancer Leap this spring. Elementary Lancer Leap will take place in the afternoons and begin on Monday, May 23, and run through the end of the school year. The classes and format for the elementary program will be broken down into two groups: early elementary (K-2) and upper elementary (3-5.)
Lancer Leap for early elementary (K-2) students will be from 12:15-2:00. Students will rotate through three science based enrichment classes. Upper elementary students (3-5) will be selecting one Lancer Leap class (12:15-2:45) to participate in.
All elementary Lancer Leap classes will also be invited to participate in our year ending Lancer Leap Showcase on Wednesday, June 8 at 5:00 PM.
